Inaugurated by PM Modi at Tiruchi on 20 January 2019. 5 nodes:
- Chennai — aerospace, MRO.
- Coimbatore — precision engineering, electronics.
- Hosur — TASL Pinaka MBRL production, L&T precision systems.
- Salem — armour, weapons.
- Tiruchi — ordnance, ammunition.
TN DIC total committed investment: Rs 15,000+ crore. Anchor industries: Tata Advanced Systems (Pinaka, ATAGS), L&T (artillery), Lockheed Martin partnership, Tata Boeing JV. TN CM M.K. Stalin oversees.
